For over fifty-eight years, Adami has been collecting and individually distributing the sums due to actors, singers, musicians, conductors and dancers for the use of their recorded works.

The Centre national de la musique (CNM) is a French public institution created in 2020 and placed under the supervision of the Ministry of Culture and Communication. It is responsible for the direct collection and recovery of the tax on musical events.
It issues approvals for the benefit of two tax credits: the tax credit for live performances and the tax credit for phonographic production, and has a fund for specific support to the music industry.
It is an observatory of the economy and data of the whole sector, and also has a mission to promote equality between women and men.
